If you kicked off the new year binge-watching Selling the City, you’re definitely not alone. Following the success of Owning Manhattan, Netflix released this fresh real estate reality series set in New York City on January 3. It was only a matter of time before the creators of Selling Sunset and Selling the OC expanded their franchise to the East Coast. And, true to form, the Big Apple edition delivered everything viewers have come to expect: extravagant listings and plenty of drama. Now, the big question on everyone’s mind is whether a second season is in the works. Here’s everything we know so far.

Will Selling the City Return for Season 2?

As of now, Netflix has not officially confirmed whether Selling the City will get a second season. However, if past trends are anything to go by, many of the streamer’s real estate reality shows have been renewed for at least one more season. Shows like Selling SunsetSelling the OCBuying Beverly Hills, and Owning Manhattan have all seen follow-ups. (Though we’re still mourning the lack of a second season for Selling Tampa.) What’s promising for _Selling the City_is that it quickly made it into Netflix’s Top TV Shows category, a good sign that fans are loving the drama and luxury listings.

What Could Season 2 Be About?

The debut season wrapped up with a dramatic cliffhanger, following a heated argument that led to Jade Chan walking off set and even threatening to sue Netflix. However, she later clarified to Us Weekly that she wasn’t pursuing legal action. “I actually want to thank the producers for their beautiful way of still telling that story and showcasing the spiciness that was there in that heated moment,” she explained.

So, if the show gets a second season, it’s likely that this unresolved confrontation will be addressed. Along with the drama, we can expect more lavish real estate listings, including potential updates on Eleonora’s jaw-dropping $45 million penthouse.

Who Could Return for Season 2?

If Selling the City is renewed, it’s likely that the full cast will return. That means we can expect to see Jade Chan, Abigail Godfrey, Steve Gold, Gisselle Meneses Nunez, Taylor Middleton, Eleonora Srugo, Jordyn Taylor, and Justin Tuinstra back in action.
