Brigette Romanek’s Crate & Barrel Collection Brings California Cool to Your Home

Enter Los Angeles-based interior designer Brigette Romanek and Crate & Barrel, who have teamed up to release a stunning new collection that’s quickly become one of our all-time favorites. The drop features 52 pieces across furniture, lighting, décor, and textiles—perfect for anyone looking to transform their entire space.
Romanek, known for her signature California-cool style, has worked with high-profile clients like Beyoncé and Gwyneth Paltrow, and her signature aesthetic shines through in this collection. “It’s contemporary, with shapes and textures that have been in the back of my mind for a long time,” she shares. “There are some historical references, and it’s a beautiful combination of pieces. What’s great about it, though, is the eclectic mix—it’s not one-note.” The collection spans from a chenille swivel chair that’s simply adorable to a pillar table lamp with a marble base and a cool rattan shade. It’s got that laid-back beachy vibe, but it’s designed to work anywhere, even if you don’t live near the ocean.
The standout piece in the collection, however, is the Hollywood Hills coffee table, which has a fascinating backstory. Romanek recalls, “About 10 years ago, I walked into a vintage store in Canada and picked up a magazine rack that I fell in love with, even though I had no use for it. I loved its shape, and it inspired me to create the Hollywood Hills coffee table.” She continues, “The rack reminded me of the hills and mountains in California—it has such a lovely angle. I thought it could be a great place for coffee table books, and now, here we are with the Hollywood Hills coffee table.” This thoughtful attention to detail is evident in many of the pieces in the collection.
