10 Years of LAYERED: A Splash of Fresh Color in Stockholm

“10 Years Unfolded” by LAYERED reinterprets three of the iconic Swedish brand’s signature patterns—Illusion, Triangle, and Letters—using bold new color palettes like teal, rust red, ochre, and mulberry. Founder Malin Glemme created LAYERED in response to a gap in the market for high-quality, sustainably made rugs. The brand now offers premium rugs and soft goods, all crafted with the highest sustainability standards. Launched during Stockholm Design Week, this collection breathes new life into beloved designs, celebrating tradition with natural and recycled fibers.
Glemme shares, “This collection is a tribute to our customers, our history, and our vision for the future. It’s bold, daring, and made to endure.” Indeed, many of these vibrant hues are making waves on red carpets and in interior design magazines, signaling a bold return to color and a celebration of design heritage.
Founded in 2015, LAYERED is a Stockholm-based interior design brand known for blending contemporary aesthetics with expert craftsmanship and sustainability. By working closely with artisans in Bhadohi, India, LAYERED fosters long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure eco-consciousness at every stage of production. Guided by modern artistic movements, the brand offers a fresh take on classic design—familiar shapes with an innovative twist.
The “Illusion” pattern evokes a postmodern graphic style, now reimagined in colors like Mulberry Sky, Blue Sandstone, and Monochrome. With mulberry hues trending everywhere, this collection celebrates them in an environmentally conscious way.
“Letters” brings abstract graphics to life, with strong, flowing lines creating geometric shapes in a maze of gold and blue.
The “Triangle” pattern plays with geometric shapes, using blocks that align in a harmonious colorway of Persimmon Pink, featuring warm brown, tan, and coral tones.
